Yoga is the journey of the self,
through the self, to the self.

- Bhagavad Gita

Class Descriptions

Our yoga classes offer the many different styles, schools, practices and goals.  We strive to offer a well-rounded approach to the physical, mental and spiritual practice - our focus involves more than just the postures.  All of our classes are open to everyone, unless specified with a prerequisite.

People often ask how often they should do yoga. If you wish to imporove and get benefits from the time you put in on your mat, we recommend committing to a minimum 2-3 classes a week.

Restorative*
Let the stress and tension melt away with this rejuvenating class that will bring balance to your mind and body. We use yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably. The class is slow, deeply nurturing and suitable for all levels of yoga experience.

Yin*
A deep yet gentle and therapeutic style of yoga that is focused on the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Since the connective tissue respond best to gentle stress over a long period of time. Some say Yin Yoga is challenging because the body and still and mind wants to wander. Just know that this is perfectly normal and give you the opportunity to practice focusing your mind while your body is still.

Gentle**
Improving your balance, flexibility and develop strength with this  slower class that gives you more time for finding relaxation and modifications in the postures. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated and connected to yourself on a deeper level with this mindful yoga practice.

Align & Breathe***
Align and Breathe is open to all levels of students as it provides a deeper understanding of alignment and the principles of body mechanics. Feel the strength and flexibility building in each posture through longer holds and with accurate and integrative movements.

This class draws from a range of yoga traditions that vary according to the teacher instructing the class.  There will be an emphasis on breath and we will explore yogic breathing techniques that will support your well-being and management of stress. Enjoy an in-depth yoga class that will Align and Breathe more life into you.

Aerial Yoga - All Levels***
Playing and practicing yoga postures with an aerial silk can bring a new and fresh feel to your yoga practice.  In this class we will create a well rounded all levels experience by incorporating many types of yoga postures, that create a space where you get to take flight and feel weightless. Aerial is light hearted, fun and will leave you hanging (in a good way!), and coming back for more.

At the end of class you will have the option to do savasana (corpse pose) either in your hammock or on your mat. The aerial hammock has been referred to as womb-like during savasana, leaving you with a feeling of safety, comfort, and peace.

Flow with Roll Release*** NEW CLASS
Leave feeling accomplished from the challenge of flowing yoga postures, paired with the release of ball rolling and self massage.

Flow yoga is where you move from one posture to another with the guidance of your breath. You'll practice a series of postures that include sun salutations, balancing, standing, back strengthening, hip openers and more.

Ball rolling and self massage releases deep tension in the muscles and promotes overall relaxation. No experience is necessary. You will leave feeling AHHMazing!

Flow + Restore****/ *
Get the best of both worlds in this class that begins with the invigorating pace of "Flow" yoga followed by a blend of "Yin" and "Restorative"  postures.
The first half of class is flow which is made up  of standing, balancing, strengthening yoga postures that create a workout for your cardio vascular system.  The second half, will include slower movements and stretching to calm your body and mind to move you into a deeply relaxed state.

Warmly heated to 30 C with a healthy dose of humidity..

Slow Flow****
Don't be fooled by the name of this class. Slow is challenging when momentum is not being used to move your body. Get into your "Zen Zone" with intelligent and mindful sequences that will leave you feeling focused, centred and strong.

Fusion ***** New Class
This is a full body fusion class! A proven workout that blends, barre, pilates  and yoga that will reshape and firm your glutes, legs, arms and abs through strength building yoga postures with a healthy balance of stretching.
