Randy and Dorothy are our resident lovebirds.
They always come prepared with hilarious stories, groovy sunglasses, and shining personalities that keep everyone in the studio smiling.

Q: What brought you to the Yogadown Studio?
I was having problems with sciatica and my massage therapist suggested I try yoga. Yogadown is within walking distance and we had walked past the Studio several times with our dogs and decided to try out a class.
Randy: I was looking for more flexibility as
I found as I was getting older I was tightening up and losing motion; seemed a good idea.
Q: How do you apply yoga outside of the studio?
Dorothy: I have worked out a routine of stretches I do every morning taken from what I have learned in yoga class. Also, if some issue comes up in traffic for e.g. I say
“We must be ‘Good Yogis’”.
Randy: I am more laid back in stressful situations. I also use the “feet up the wall” when I need a break from driving or doing a lot of standing.
Q: Randy, you had quite a fall this year and really felt the injuries throughout your body. What made you consider yoga to help heal yourself?
(Anything else to speak to in this regard?)
Randy: Actually, I had to wait about 2 weeks having massage therapy before I could do yoga again. But then once on the mend yoga helped regain back some strength and flexibility. The Doc said if I hadn’t been doing yoga regularly my injuries would have most likely been worse and the recovery slower.
Q: If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?
Dorothy: To keep up a consistent yoga practice. Even though I have a love/hate relationship with yoga I know it’s good for me – not easy – but definitely worth it!
Randy: I wished I would have started yoga earlier in my life because even though I was very active, I didn’t stretch enough.
