Yin is a popular style of yoga that so many people have come to love. Our world is busy and many people are flocking to yoga in search for balancing their life.
Cross Fit, running, cycling, and hockey (just to name a few) are "yang" activities. Yang relates to building heat through more intense or repetative movement. Even some vigorous forms of yoga, such as ashtanga, vinyasa (flow), and hot yoga are very yang. But if you focus only on the yang, your body can suffer from fatigue and burnout.
"Yin" is about slowing down, pausing and finding stillness through inward focus and cooling the body. Yin and Yang support the creation of balance both in body and mind.
